One lady on reception was very friendly and helpful! the breakfast was lovely and the view from the balcony was great - we had paid for a mountain view room but we got a view of the mountains and the sea front! :)
Supurb position on the seafront at Menton. Easy to walk into town along the seafront. Free parking outside hotel.
Probably overdue for a makeover as interiors a little tired.
The view off the balcony was great. You can walk along the seaside to restaurants. The location was good to go to Cote D'azure and French Riviera. Staff responded to our needs and we enjoyed our stay.
The traffic on the road was noisy for sleeping and parking was limited.
Charming and efficient desk staff. Polite and helpful room staff. Right on seaside good public car park right opposite front door.
Poor maintenance. Minor paint chips and rust.
View of sea and an easy walk into the centre of Menton.
Overall the hotel is in immediate need of upgrading. The room was adequately sized but no comfortable chairs to sit in although there was a balcony if the weather was fair. The bathroom had a bidet placed very close to the lavatory so that it was almost impossible to sit on the lav seat. Not a great design.
Nice lady at desk - very helpful, also evening concierge
Only hotel on Cote d'Azur without Christmas/holiday decorations ! Also no restaurant.
The noice from the trattic.
Good hotel positon & very helpful staff
The welcome was very friendly. Excellent location
We arrived about 1.30pm and the carpet in the room was still damp from cleaning The hotel is a little old and tired. 1 Bedroom as second choice had a poor bed.
The location is great. Hotel is right on the beach and we had a balcony with a fantastic view.
It is a little tired but not too bad
We liked the Hotel, it was clean and the staff was very pleasant, but the room was very small and despite the double glazing very noisy. Bathroom very hot and humide, no window or extractor. The overall feeling was very pleasant but the hotel looked tired!
The view from the sea side is great .Pleasant little town.
Firstly, the staff were very courteous and secondly the breakfast was brilliant (as much as you want buffet style). The room was always cleaned to a good standard. The shower was hot and powerful (a necessity on holiday I feel), their was a fridge/minibar, bed was comfortable (pillows ok) and there was all the usual mod cons T.V./hairdryer etc.
It's location, right next to a major road into Menton. It was very very loud and we hardly got much sleep because of it. The hotel has secondary glazing, that was very old and we need to make sure they were shut properly each time we needed to open them (which we didn't try to do often). The only night that we got some sleep was on the Saturday night, as there was no rush hour on the Sunday so hardly any traffic on the roads. The fairly major road on the beach front side is pedestrianised on Sundays, which made it even more quieter I suppose. If we had to stay there again we would ask for the beach front side and hope it wouldn't be too noisy, but whilst we were there we were looking around for other alternatives.
Great little hotel with a great seaside view.
The service was generally ok. The room we booked had a sea-view with a small balcony. The room was a reasonable size. At the time of year we were there (October) there was free parking in the public car park immediately opposite the hotel front entrance. Generous time allowance for breakfast (up to about 10:-10:30)
The general standard of decor, fixtures and fittings etc. was not what I hoped for in a hotel with a 3-star rating. Based on the appearance of the exteriors and reception/foyer areas, other 3-star hotels looked to be better quality in this respect.
